HELP: mom having gas while breastfeeding

So sorry this is a TMI topic and a little embarrassing.

Did anyone have any issues w gas while nursing?? It doesnt matter what I eat what day, its pretty bad :(

Im not eating any gassy foods, still my plain, healthy diet (typical day foods: cereal, greek yogurt, apples, bananas, protein bars, cheese stick, hummus and chips, salad, chicken, veggies - no broccoli)

I will admit, I have been eating cookies/sweets (as people have sent goodies after twins were born) or ice cream.

I just dont understand it!!!

Did this happen w anyone?

Can/should I take any gas chewables?

I would cut out hummus and salad. Hummus is loaded with fiber as it it chick peas. Did u have this before being PG?

its the hummus and the protein bars. I thought that was good for me also for the baby but when I stopped so did the gas. Cant say the same for DD but its better.
Also I just thought are you lactose intolerant. You may be sensitive to dairy also. try the lactaid pills see if that helps too.

Omg me too!!! ESP when I'm actually breastfeeding DD I get the worst gas! Lol! I know your uterus is supposed to contract while breastfeeding but I don't know why I must fart like a man while doing it! Lmao
