CIO Question

If you did CIO to get your DC to go to sleep at night, how long did it take for your DC to go to sleep on their own?

CIO Question

3 nights! The first night it took 48 minutes for DD to fall asleep. It was heartbreaking but she went out. The next night she cried for 10 minutes and I think the 3rd night she went right out. Has been sleeping through the night since. We did this at 8 months (6 months adjusted) and she is 20 months now. Will only wake up if she really isn't feeling well.

Re: CIO Question

It took a good week, with us not going in his room at all. DC would cry 3 hours straight too. It's hard to hear, but so glad we did it. It works!

Re: CIO Question

Just did it with my son. Wednesday night was about 20 minutes of hard crying. Thursday night was less than 10 minutes and Friday night and tonight, he went in, looked like he was going to cry, I turned on his sleepy sounds dolphin and walked out. He was asleep the last 2 nights without a peep. He will be 6 months old on the 24th. He had been going down easily since 3 months, but with teething, we had a tough time getting him down the past 2 weeks or so, so we did CIO.

Re: CIO Question

A torturous 2 weeks Chat Icon
I just couldn't let her cry for so long so I would go in every 5, 10, 20 mins & rub her back,re-assure her I was still there & calm her down. Ok or maybe it was to calm myself down also Chat Icon
Might be why it took longer.
Eventually it work at bedtime, naps are still a complete disaster.
