So at 226AM i am looking for some sleep advice

Ds is 15 months old and for the past few weeks he has been waking up between 1-2 every night. At first I would lay him back down but he just kept getting back up shortly after screaming so I decided to just let him cry. He cries for hours and doesnt let up crying turns to screaming which turns to blood curdling screams. This has gone on for up to 3 hours. I asked the Ped at our well visit today and she said the less you do the better and told me to sleep on the couch.
I am pregnant and I am going to work daily with 3 hours of sleep and I need some relief. I am on the couch and he is still screaming.
So obviously CIO is not really working what else can I do?
We are going on weeks here

Is he teething? Every time my son was cutting a tooth, his sleep got screwed up.. As you can see I am also awake with a crying toddler.. I give him motrin or tylenol sometimes. It usually helps if it is his teeth.. I would try and comfort him a bit. If he is screaming for hours, then something must be bugging him. Try some tylenol or even Mylicon. Maybe he has bad gas..

I agree with.above poster. My now 2 year old goes through spats when he's teething that he will wake usually around 1am.screaming. I've let him CIO but like you guy, it turns to hours & then neither of sleep. Those were the days I would give him some motrin & either lay on the couch with him or bring him into bed with me. It seemed once he had the.comfort of me.near him, he would go back to.sleep.

Teething. Give him Motrin before bed and see how he does with that.
