HELP ME calming a inconsolabel gassy newborn
Have you tried gas drops? DD is BF as well and thankfully has only gone through this a few times, tonight being one of those nights. I tried the gas drops for the first time tonight and she seemed better pretty quickly.

yes i have two differnt ones. Gripe water and tummys something. I have been giving it to her a few times a day since Sunday to avoid the night screams we had over the weekend. Im BF and not eating anything that would give her gas that I can think of.

Mylicon did nothing for me. Colic calm worked for the moment. Truthfully it was just a stage and probably only lasted a month or so. It seemed like forever, and I shed so many tears, but looking back it was very short lived. Hang in there.

Re: HELP ME calming a inconsolabel gassy newborn
We do a lot of tummy massage, leg pumping, little tummy gas drops and colic calm.
I would talk to the ped - he/she may be able to offer advice.

HELP ME calming a inconsolabel gassy newborn
We did leg pumping and when she was really gassy I did it in the bathroom with the shower running. For some reason the sound always calmed her. I basically used mylecon drops in all her bottles even though she was only fussy at night. It's horrible to see them in pain. :(. I hope she feels better soon!

Re: HELP ME calming a inconsolabel gassy newborn
It might be reflux or a milk protein allergy... Have her tested for the allergy. Just a poopy diaper. If it is reflux, she may fight when eating, arch her back, and the screaming is a big part of it.. Keep her upright for at least 30 minutes after eating. Burp her often... Call the pedi or a pedi GI for an appt.

DS was gassy and colicky and the only thing that really helped was time. I know that is not what you want to hear but many times it is just a newborns stomach needing time to get used to everything.

I would also recommend you read or get the DVD version of the Happiest Baby on the Block. I found this really helpful in trying to calm my babies.
