At what age did you start using it with LO? How long did you use it. I'm trying to decide if it is worth purchasing since we have a high chair already and how much use we are going to get out of it.

Started using it at 2 months and only used it to about 4 months. But that's because DD had very chunky thighs and she didn't fit in it anymore. We started using the high chair after that.

I started when my DS could almost hold his head up (now I forget what age that was!) but he was so fat his thighs were too big. Also, he had bad reflux and it made him spit up every time he was in it. So I probably used it 4 times total for about a minute each time! But my SIL used them a lot with her two daughters.

I didn't get one at first bc we're low on space and I figured we wouldn't use it too long. I ended up getting one when she was about 12 weeks. DD is on the small side so I think she'll fit in it for a while. We use it almost everyday, especially on days we're stuck inside all day and need some variety.

Re: Bumbo

From 4 months until 5 months, both push themselves out of it.

Re: Bumbo

We started using it around 5 months and are still using it at 11 months. But my girls were preemies and are one is still not sitting great. At this point we use it for lunch for a change of scene. I bought them used on craigs list for a few $$ each. I do nOt think they are worth the $40 in the store

Bumbo

We didn't use one. We used the Fisher Price Rocker or his high chair.

I would do a Google search about Bumbo seats and how some research has been done that they really aren't that wonderful for your children. Apparently it sits them in an unnatural position and that's why most kids tend to push out of them because it's not comfortable for them.

I started at 11 weeks and used it for a long time - until she was 8 months old or so. But DD was not chunky. I loved it. We used it everyday with her.

Re: Bumbo

I think we stated DS in it at about 3 mos. We have the bebe pod with the tray and toy attached. He used it for maybe 2-3 mos or so. Looking back in retrospect, not really worth it. Although DS LOVES the toy that gets attached to it!

My DS is 5 months old now and we old used it a few times and not for long. His chunky thighs don't fit in it anymore. Pretty much a waste for us.

I didn't have one, and didn't miss it. DD had more than enough parking spaces.

A waste for us. DS was a chunky monkey and only fit in it for a month.
