So, we are ready to book our first with baby trip!! yaaay

DD will be 9 months old when we go away in September and right now her schedule is such that she goes to sleep around 8pm- Im guessing that probably wont chaneg much by September. Which return flight would you take?

*If it matters we're going to take a 10am flight on our way out-- and since DD naps anywhere around 9 or 10am for 1+ hours I think we are safe with that.

Thanks Ladies!

I would take the one that lands at 6pm. That way you can get home and try to get DD to bed at a normal hour.

We tried to do the same when we took DS to FL but our return flight was delayed. Just bring things to do in the airport just in case.

Thanks we're going to florida too! We want to take advantage of the day there and would rather take the later flight but dont want to end up creating a nightmare for ourselves and DD!

We fly pretty frequently maybe every other month and I found that flying at night was best for us. Keep in mind my DD would fall asleep at bedtime regardless of where she was. I found when she was really young (less than 6 months) that I could nurse her on the plane regardless of time and she'd sleep, but as she's gotten older it's been better at night.

I voted for 3 also. If for any reason that they need to delay the flight you have time and she won't get that cranky. The other 2 seem to late.

I just went to florida as well. We took super early morning flights and my DS slept through the landing and take off. We also fed him once during the flight.

I voted for the 8 pm flight because your baby goes to bed at that time and maybe he/she will fall asleep in the stroller before you take off.

Are you still using a car seat? My DS slept in his car seat- he was tired that by the time we got on the plane he was asleep in his car seat (the plane was empty so he got a seat). When he woke up we took him out.

Take the earliest flight. During the summer, the later the flight, the more chance of delays due to thunder storms.

The earlier the better only because this is the airlines were talking about. I can't remember the last time I took a flight that took off on time. We once slept in Atlanta airport with my 2.5yr DD at the time because our flight was delayed and we missed our connecting flight, oh the joy that was Chat Icon

Another vote for 3pm. It would be nice if you could be settled at the hotel in time for bed.

I also find that kids don't sleep when they are supposed to on flights.

I always tried to fly during bed times hoping theyd sleep. Most times it was great, but in the rare event that they didnt sleep, it was terrible. Good luck!
