can someone explain the different stages of baby food?
What is the difference between stage 1, 2 and 3? My ds is 7 months next week. We've done fruits. Adding veggies this weekend. Dr said go to stage 2 when we feel he's ready but when I asked he just said make the food thicker. Is thete any other difference or a good website that explains it? Thanks! !

The only real difference between 1 and 2 to me is the amount of food. And there is more of a variety. Meats mixed with fruits and veggies. Some may be a little thicker but not much. Stage 3 has chunks of foods in it. A lot of babies can't handle it and gag on it. The puree and pieces of food throw them for a loop.. I skipped stage 3 and went right to table food.
