Need Advice on time of DD's 1st birthday party!

HELP! DD's birthday party is on June 29th so I have a little time left, but I'm trying to figure out the timing situation cause I'd like to start ordering invites soon.

DD is still taking 2 naps (at a little over 9 months old) from 8-9:30am and 1pm-3:30ish. She is asleep for the night at 6:30pm.

I was thinking of having the party (based on her schedule now) from 11am-2pm. And worst case, she can't make it till 2 and we'll put her down but maybe she'll be distracted by everything going on and we can push it back by an hour?

Is this too early for a Sat party??? Thoughts?!

I don't think it is too early. Do what is best for you and your DD. I personally prefer earlier parties.

If it helps any our first birthday is starting at the same time Chat Icon

I think it depends - if it's a kiddie party it's not a big deal - go w/ her schedule.

if the majority of guests are adults - or you don't have a lot of kids there, you do what's best for everyone ........IMO.
The baby can sleep in the stroller or nap - she may not even go down for a nap w/ all the excitement.

First off... June 29th is MY BDAY! Chat Icon

I agree with the PP. Doing it early is fine around her schedule. 11AM is not early at all and that's pretty much when most bday parties that we go to are. It's perfect so the kids eat at lunch time then nap later on.

ITA, if its going to be a mostly adult party with some kids, i would start it after her pm nap because if she is up between 3:30 to 6:30 it gives everyone plenty of time to hang out with the birthday girl, then at 6:30, you can sneak away and put her down for the night and rejoin the party if guests are still hanging out.
