1st Birthday Party advice

So I was thinking about my DS's first birthday and don't know what to do. I want to save something like Gymboree for future birthdays where more kids will be involved - but I really want to do something special - but would prefer not to do it at home. It probably will only be my DS, my husband, my parents, my in laws and my sister in laws family (her, her husband and her 8 year old daughter)

Any ideas?

What about just doing a special dinner somewhere kid friendly. Either Friendly's or Dave and Busters?

Re: 1st Birthday Party advice

We had DS' birthday at 56 Fighter group in Farmingdale- they have a pretty good brunch buffet on Sundays- and it's fun for the kids to see the planes.

It is definitely family friendly.. and they do take large reservations.

I had a shirt made for DS w/ an airplane on it and Cupcakes Catering made airplane cupcakes and a smash cake!
