Anyone have to redo anatomy scan?
I went todayat 19.5 weeks and she said to come back in 2 weeks because the baby's position combined with not being far enough along prevented her from seeing everything. I'm just concerned because I for high risk results on the ultrascreen for Downs Syndrome but didnt do the amnio. Anyone else have to go back?

I don't have to "re-do" mine, but I am having 2. I had one at 16 weeks and then I am going back in a few weeks for a 20 week one. This is the standard for my doctor's practice.

I did with my first DS
They couldnt get pictures of all chambers of the heart
Just an FYI the doc office told me sometimes the insurance wont pay for a second one. My insurance ended up paying for it but they told me sometimes they reject it

I didnt but dont get nervous. If they cant get a good look at the baby the first time they will want you to come back. My friend had to go back, like a pp said to look at the chambers of the heart. Baby is fine.

I had 3!! 
First time the baby was facing back so they couldn't see the face or get a good view of the heart.
2nd time they were able to see the chambers of the heart but weren't able to get the intake and outtake valves.
3rd time I went to Winthrop Perinatal and they are VERY thourough there! I was there for 2.5 hours but they were able to see EVERYTHING! My first 2 were in my doctor's office and they are much quicker about things.

I had to redo mine. The 1st one I had done at the main radiology dept. in the hospital. One of the docs at the office I go to wanted me to have another one done by another radiology dept. (that only specializes with pregnancy sonograms). If that makes any sense at all...

We had to go back a 2nd time because the baby wasn't cooperating so they couldn't get all the pictures they needed. Dont worry I'm sure everything will be fine!

I had mine recently and they said at my next monthly appointment they'll redo it because she couldn't get a good look at the upper lip and nose. So of course Im a nervous wreck because all I keep thinking of when I heard those two things was cleft lip. They never even hinted towards anything but for some reason that was the first thing I thought of and now I can't stop thinknig about it. So I know how you are feeling right now.

Mine wasnt a redo but they did have me come back a few weeks later because they couldnt get a clear shot of  head. I wouldnt worry...sometimes its just that baby is not in the right position.

crashing: I had to go back 3 times....her position was not allowing the Tech to see the top of her head. This girl was NOT moving, they finally got a decent pic at the 3rd visit. I didn't mind because I got to see my baby again.

Just went today and lo would not move to show the heart have to go back 2weeks. Going to hospital to redo. I isn't get a great feeling with tech and radiologist

I had to go back 3 times! They couldnt get proper heart measurements because of positioning.

i didn't have to go back, but the entire scan did take about a half hour!! my longest sono of them all!!
it was because of the baby's position, etc, it took her a long time to get view of everything she had to measure and take pics of
