WWYD?

I have my cousins bridal shower today in lynbrook at 1. I'm out in farmingville area. I'm 31 weeks and terrified of the snow. My sister would drive but I have to get out to her. I'm in her BP so I feel obligated to be there.
I'm just so nervous of these spin outs I'm hearing about, the roads getting more icy by the time it's over, and having to be careful not to slip in this weather.
Wwyd? I'm so confused. I really don't want to go anywhere in this.

Re: WWYD?

If it was me at 31w I would go.

But YOU need to do what's best for you. The weather by me isn't that awful that would keep me home.

Re: WWYD?

I would go. Today is my baby shower so I will be taking the trek from Westchester into Manhattan by car. People are cancelling left and right on me though so I will probably be the only one there! Chat Icon

Re: WWYD?

I personally wouldn't go only because I am scared driving in the snow.

Re: WWYD?

Just leave early and drive slow. If you get there late, so be it. If you don't go, you'll be thinking about it all day saying "I should've gone" Chat Icon

If it was me, I would go. I live 1 block out of lynbrook & it's not so bad over here... the kids on my block are playing in the street right now lol

but you have to do what is right for you.... if you don't feel comfortable even driving to your sister's can someone else drive you?

GL & be safe whatever you decide! Chat Icon

Re: WWYD?

Well I attempted it. My mom picked me up and the roads out here are bad. Saw someone spin out in front of us. We got to my sister's house and while wondering if we should make the drive I was thinking I didn't feel right. Took my temp and have a low grade fever. So here I am, stuck at my sisters house, and they went without me. Ugh! Wish I were home in my bed!!! Regretting even trying now. So now keeping an eye on my temp with the Tylenol nearby.
