Re: Does anyone watch Once Upon a Time

I have tried to watch Grimm but I couldn't get into it.

I was really into LOST as well. I actually just rewatched most of the OUAT episodes and created these sheets with the characters and their connections, different observatons (Mr. Gold's shop has a ton of clues), and mysteries yet to be solved.

There's a lot more you can get from the show by being observant.

Soo...who is the stranger and who is Mr. Whale? Any theories?

And did you guys catch the hints on the indentiy/background of the Evil Queen and her father? For some reason I didn't catch it at first, but now I am sure about who they are.

Could be. Wonder what's in the box hes carrying. The spoilers say he's a "reformed criminal from SB"

There's some speculation he's Henry's dad somehow.. (wouldn't Emma recognize him?) or that he's Mr. Gold's son.

It's also possible Billy or Mr. Whale is the big bad wolf based on both of them staring at Ruby. I'm really not sure but I am REALLY trying to figure out Mr. Whale.

Yep. For example even before the Jiminy Cricket episode, the puppets of Gepetto's parents were seen in the shop.

Among other things, there's also Aladdin's lamp. Keep a sharp eye when they're in there!

Wait. The Evil Queen being the Mayor? I thought she killed her father... so he wouldn't be in StoryBrooke because he's dead.

Wait. The Evil Queen being the Mayor? I thought she killed her father... so he wouldn't be in StoryBrooke because he's dead.

There's more to her backstory in fairytale land.
The hints I picked up on are
1) Her last name in SB is "Mills"
2) She makes a comment in the episode where she kills her father like "NOW, you want to protect me" as if there was a time in the past when he didn't
3) She really wants children/a child.

This should give you a pretty big hint that she's actually ANOTHER fairytale character in addition to being the Evil Queen.

ETA: Also, in the episode when Emma cuts down the tree and Regina and Mr. Gold meet near it, Regina says she's done making deals with him. He says "Which are you referring to?" which means either that

1) He remembers.
2) Regina has made deals with Mr. Gold in Storybrooke before besides getting Henry
3) It could refer to the deal she made with Rumplestiltskin when she asked how to activate the curse, or it could refer to other earlier deals she may have made with him that we have not seen yet.

I mean Dr. Whale.

He's the doctor who was taking care of John Doe/David in the hospital. He also went out on the date with Mary Margaret Blanchard in an early episode. During that date he checked out Ruby and then was really pompous to MMB about it. In a recent episode he had a one night stand with MMB and sent her flowers.

Trying to figure out who his fairytale counterpart is.

Another nitpicky question I have, which may have been answered is: Is James Prince Charming's real name, or is it his dead brother's name which he is assuming? I don't recall if anyone called him by name other than him telling Snow his name.

I love this show!!! It's the one good thing about Sundays Chat Icon

I am dying to know what Snow did to the Evil Queen to make her so mad!

I 100% believe that Mr. Gold somehow knows whats going on.

Mr. Whale - i read somewhere that maybe he is the whale from Pinocchio. But i think that is too obvious.

I think Mr. Gold will do everything to keep Story Brooke the way it is. Here he has so much power & is not a prisoner. If Emma unveils their "real world" than he turns back into Rumple..

A lot of people are saying this..and the other idenitites aren't exactly subltle "Regina" "ruby" "Mr. Gold", etc, but other than the name, we have no indication he's actually Monstro.

His traits:
1) He's working for Regina
2) He's a womanizer
3) He's full of himself.

I don't think that really applies to Monstro.

I've read somewhere that Beast is someone we already know. I think those characteristics might apply to beast. I mean he ignored Mary on his date to look at Ruby, so he puts looks at a high premium and he's shallow and full of himself.

And I guess a Whale is a large animal or a "beast"..but that may be stretching it.

Yeah they are mixing in a lot. Henrys book suggests we'll see some Wizard of Oz in the future.

Re: Does anyone watch Once Upon a Time

I've actually been thinking that the new guy is a reincarnation of Graham. The knew guy wouldn't be some other character, because they're all already in Storybrook, and no-one leaves Storybrook or comes in. And I think he has his heart in the box. ANd they were setting him up to be Emma's love interest....

But I was also thinking that maybe by dying here, Graham was sent back to the story land and is there waiting in the dark, alone.

?????

If the new guy were Henry's dad, wouldn't Emma know?

Oh, I just read someone said spoilers indicate the new guy is a reformed criminal--and that doesn't really fit my theory....but how did he leave the town? Or could the Huntsman be consdiered a reformed criminal....

And is the curse broken if Emma sets all the relationships right? Like Cinderella and her Prince and then Hansel and Gretel and their dad?

Re: Does anyone watch Once Upon a Time

I found this on imdb.com

Regina Mills (Evil Queen): Regina is a Late Latin feminine name meaning "Queen". Mills refers to the Greek word "Milo" meaning "apple" in modern Greek, which is in reference to the Queen poisoning Snow White with an apple.

Re: Does anyone watch Once Upon a Time

I think it's hard to predict because we really don't know the ins and outs of the curse. We only know what Henry tells us from what he has surmised. He thinks no one can leave because everyone he's heard of can't leave, but he only has a few examples of that. It's possible some people have special powers and can leave. Don't forget that the curse has a very big hole in it in that 1) Rumple made it, so I don't think even Regina knows its bounds and 2) Mr. Gold can get anything he wants by saying "please", both of these lending creedence to the theory that the stranger has something to do with Mr Gold.

However I *think* I read somewhere that his name is going to be "Jefferon" which means "Son of Jeffrey" and Jeffrey means "God's Peace", FWIW.

It's also possible that it IS Henry's dad. Maybe there is some magic involved in Henry's conception. I mean it's no accident that the baby Mr. Gold procured for Regina is Emma's baby. It's possible Emma has been clouded somehow.

I just keep in mind that this is by the creators of LOST, so there is so much we're not aware of.
