Feeling kind of depressed...
We found out that we're having twin boys... We already have one little boy - and I love that kid to pieces. He's a momma's boy to the core. And I know little boys (and older boys, men, etc) love their momma.
But, a piece of me is so upset that I won't have that little girl to dress up, watch grow into a lady and plan a wedding and babies, the list goes on.
People probably think I'm being selfish... but I'm just in a funk - I couldn't even enjoy the cake reveal last night... This is my last pregnancy, as I am tying my tubes when the boys are born.
I am so grateful that my babies are healthy and are growing strong... I just secretly wish that one of the penises would fall off by the next sono. 
Sorry for the silly rant... thanks for listening if you got this far.

i completely understand...
this is my first, and i don't know what we're having, but I know that I'd feel the exact same way if I were only given boys...
not that I wouldn't be (or that you aren't) grateful for them...but you are entitled to feel that to a certain extent...
we are all just human beings...we daydream, we "make plans", we imagine things...you can't fault yourself for that.
it will pass, you will fall as much IN LOVE with your two new boys as you are with your DS, and you will be a great Mommy to all 3 of them, and that's all that matters...
and be happy that you have LIF to express these feelings to...cuz I'm sure that family wouldn't necessarily always give the same response to emotions of this sort...

Awww, I am sorry you are feeling that way and I totally understand your feelings. Totally normal. I am sure once those 2 boys are in your arms none of it will matter. Besides, don't they say boys are always mama's boys???

I am only 6 weeks so I do not know the sex yet but I also desperately want a girl. Of course the main thing is not gender and just that the child is HEALTHY. and I also know ultimately, I will still be happy and love a boy, but there will be initial gender disappointment if it is not a girl. Basically what I am saying is, you have a right to feel disappointed. I hate when people make you feel otherwise, like it is so terrible to have a preference. It is upsetting you did not get to have a girl like you wanted. I am sorry. But then at the end of it all, you will have 3 healthy beautiful boys... and that is still special!

I felt the same way when we found out we are having a boy. My 1st DS is gonna be 17 in 2 months and that is why this is my last baby, DH's 1st.
I really wanted a girl for mostly all your reasons but, after a day or 2 I was just so happy thinking of everything and the thought of he can be a mamas boy just like my DS was til the teens yrs hit,lol.
I think what you are feeling is normal.

I think that is totally normal. I have a DS and this will most likely be my last pregnancy. I REALLY want a girl as well. I know if we have a boy it would be ok and I would be as obsessed with him as I am DS but it doesn't take away from that ache of wanting a girl.
What you are feeling is totally normal but as time goes on I think you will grow to love the idea. Everything will fall into place and you will be the best boy Mama ever!! You will be the queen of the house.

It's totally normal so don't feel guilty...we're all humans and we can't help the way we feel. You know you will love and cherish these boys but it's okay to be a little sad.
This is my first so I had no preference but I think I may be a little sad if our second is also a girl...I really want the experience of raising both.

I have my sono next Thursday and if i'm having another boy, i know i'll be feeling the same way u do. This is my last pregnancy as well. HOWEVER, i've always wanted a girl and when i found out my first was a boy i cried a little, but now that i have him, i get mad at myself for ever sheding a tear..as he is the most loveable little boy and really sooo good. I think once your baby boys are in your arms these feelings will go away.....on the flip side there is something very cool about having all boys or all girls. Feel beter!

I think what you are feeling is totally normal. We are human beings like many PP's have mentioned and we have real emotions and wants and preferences. It does not mean that you will not love those little boys bc once they get here you will be a gonner, but it is ok for you to be sad that the little girl that you wanted will not come.

I think that what you're feeling is completely normal. Obviously you're glad that the boys are healthy, but that doesn't diminish your feelings.
FWIW, twin boys are awesome and the bond between brothers is so cool to see. They will all be the best of friends!

Aw, I can imagine feeling the same way. But just let me tell you, All month long I've been hanging up all the Christmas cards I've received and you want to know the honest truth...to me, the absolute cutest ones are the ones with  (and I have about five of them) ! I look at those and wish I had three boys! 
I know my MIL (and SIL as well, she's got three boys) really wanted her third to be a girl after two boys , but I'm glad she never got her wish...otherwise, I'd never have my Peter  !

You can always dress up one of your sons in tu tus and tiaras when no one is around!! Joke joke!!!!! That's what I say to my hubby bc we have a boy on the way and barring a miracle this will most likely be our only dc. I see those cute girl outfits and get a tiny twinge so I understand. But boys do rock. Hugs xo

Aww Its totally normal to feel that way. I can somewhat relate. This is my 1st pregnancy and its a boy. I secretly wanted a girl and when I found out it was a boy I was a little sad...but at the same time I started thinking about how wonderful it will be to have a boy. I do hope one day to have a girl but I guess my point is that these are your feelings. It doesnt mean you'll love your twins any less it just means you're human.

I think you are so blessed!!! I would love a third boy when the time comes (i think people think i'm lying or nuts but its true!!). I adore everything about baby boys...
I'm not saying your feelings aren't valid..they are! But just focus on all the positive. Your little boy is getting two brothers to be pals with and look after and be buddies for life.
You are having two healthy babies. You know you'll love them with all your heart...a baby is such an incredible blessing, and you're triple blessed!

My GF and I were just joking about this today... we'd dress them up before DH got home and before it'd scar them for life.
