Ordering bm dress while ttc...what size??
I'm in a wedding July and the time has come to order the bridesmaid dress. I still don't have a bfp but I know it could happen at any time. I'm just trying to decide if and how much bigger I should order my dress if I do get a bfp. The dress is empire waist chiffon, so there is room in the belly area, I'm just worried about the tight empire waist. I think I'm going to order one size bigger to be safe. Do you think that this is the right thing to do?

Yeah I would order one size bigger. You can always take it in if you don't get the BFP.

I agree, one size bigger should be fine, especially since it's empire waist, and would most likely be above any baby bump. If you did get a bfp this cycle, you'd probably be 7 months around then I think? I think seamstresses deal with this sort of thing all the time (my sis was a bridesmaid at 8 months pregnant and they added an entire panel to the side of the dress to accommodate (since she didn't order a dress size up!).

that's a toughie because you don't know when you'll get pregnant. But it couldn't hurt to go a size or 2 bigger because it's easier to take a dress in than it is to let it out. Hopefully you won't have to take it in at all!

Re: Ordering bm dress while ttc...what size??
I ordered a bm dress two sizes bigger, then ended up not pregnant. No big deal, just expensive alterations.

Re: Ordering bm dress while ttc...what size??
LOL my best friend from childhood did this for all 5 weddings she was in...always ordered a size or two up. She wasn't pregnant for ANY of them.
She finally ordered a dress in her size, and she's DUE on the wedding day. Needless to say, she is not planning on being in the wedding or being at the wedding-unless she feels amazing, which she doubts.
Just a funny story to share with you. These things are impossible to predict but you will figure it out as ya go!

Re: Ordering bm dress while ttc...what size??
I figured it was better safe than sorry. I called up the salon and spoke with someone to get their advice also. I ended up getting 2 sizes bigger and I'll just do alterations if needed.
