I'm only 6w1d and the nausea has officially kicked in. I was never like this with DS so im not liking this wanting to vomit feeling!Chat Icon

What can i eat to help with the nausea? Its a vicious cycle...the thought of food makes me sick but if my stomach gets empty i wanna vomit. I cant win.

The only thing that is helping me is carbs, bagels, saltines, pretzels and ginger ale. Sucking on sour candy used to help me to but it doesnt anymore.

Re: What can i eat to help with the nausea?

the preggie pops from BRU helped me, but only held off the nausea until I was able to get something down...

so as far as food, really only bagels worked at that time.

Carbs - bagels, saltines, cheerios. Also, water made me really sick. I lived on flat ginger ale, flat sprite. Just try to eat itty bits however you can tolerate. Feel better!!!

Lemon slices in water, just tasting a bit of lemon sometimes..

Preggo drops (same brand as Pops)

Mini bagels with butter. ( I would eat half)

If this helps..my friend drank Goya juices, she had horrible MS.

Jolly Ranchers were my best friend. I dont know why they work but they do. A few people suggested them and I was amazed at how well they worked. Definitely get a big bag! Feel better- it will get easier.

not sure what area you live in but I found ginger mints in Sherry's in Babylon village which were a huge help for me.

CARBS!

Also, water made me feel soooo much worse! So I would water down juice (I'm talking like 1/3 juice, 2/3 water, or 1/2 and 1/2).

Re: What can i eat to help with the nausea?

I had to eat some crackers or saltines as soon as I woke up (kept them on my nightstand) and then for my commute, I would take hard candy with me. I liked peppermints and cinnamon discs.... I was sick from week 7 to week 19, so I feel your pain! Feel better!

Re: What can i eat to help with the nausea?

Definitely carbs. And what helped me a lot was eating sour candy. I always had a bag of sour patch kids with me.
