Please recommend your train table for a 2+ year old.
I'd prefer a nice wooden one but I'm totally clueless when it comes to these and I don't even know how to start researching. TIA.

We have an Imaginarium one from Toys R Us. It has drawers in it for storage which I especially like. I always do my toy research on amazon and read all the reviews etc. This one is great quality and will last a very long time.

This is what we are leaning towards. My DS saw a train table at school last week and was mesmorized. The imaginarium one at TRU gets good reviews here (I did a search) and on Amazon.
It's on sale at TRU for 139.99 and there was a mailing with a $10 coupon if you spend $100 or more.

Re: Please recommend your train table for a 2+ year old.
We have the imaginarium one and love it. DS has had it for almost 3 yrs and it is still in great condition. DS2 is starting to play with it now too. I love the 2 big drawers to store extra trains. And I also like the ledge that keeps the trains from falling off. One of the Thomas one we were looking at didn't have that and I can see it getting really annoying. My son was not overly rough with it, but used it literally every day for about 2 yrs. My nephew has the same one for almost 3 yrs too and he is hard on it (constantly throwing the tracks and pulling the drawers all the way out) and its in great condition too.

Thanks ladies - the Imaginarium one looks great. It says it fits the wooden Thomas trains? How many trains should I get (ask for)? This will be for their birthday from Grandma and Grandpa.

I have the imaginarium.. it came with a good number of trains. She hasn't grown tired of those. Tho I do need to replace the batteries on the parts of the track that have sound. We wood glued a lot of the track but not to the table. It comes apart in sections but isn't easily torn apart.
