recommend karate class for 3 - 3 1/2 year old
don't know which places are good in LI for this age group.

I've been going for 10 years. DS has been going for 4, since he was about 3.5 (we didn't start him at 3, since DD was born when DS turned 3). DD has been going for a year, since she was 3.
The 3 and 4 yos are in a separate class from the older kids. They work on listening, behaving, climbing, punching, kicking (pads), and basic karate moves, but nothing aggressive.
When they get older, they start learning more kicks and punches, and eventually kickboxing and grappling.

thanks for posting! I was wondering the same thing since DS expressed interest in doing Karate. I was going to sign him up in Sept and TS is down the road from me!
