Please Recommend Toys For A 1+ Year Old
My DD is turning one in October and a few family members are asking what "SPECIAL" toys/things they can buy her for her first birthday.
Any suggestions?

i know it planning ahead, but by next spring/ summer she will be ready to use expenisive outdoor stuff.

I always think personalized stuff with their name on it is cute...

" stepstool
" toy chest
I know DH's Uncle is makes things for all the kids in the family... like a rocking horse or toy chest. He's so crafty and makes it out of wood. Great job. Your family doesn't have to do that, but a nice pottery barn rocking horse

A birthstone necklace (to wear when she is older, but special because she got it when she turned one)

I wanted to get my sister something SPECIAL for her baby shower and she suggested a snapfish/shutterfly gift certificate. So she could get a baby book.
I decided to get her a teddy bear from Build-a-bear.
You can get a t-shirt personalized there so I"m going to do that.
I know at 1 my DS didn't really like anything SPECIAL.
Maybe they can start a precious moments collection with her age on it?

a ride on toy and a small ball pit were Alys 2 fav things for her 1st bday. we also got a beautiful personalized toy chest.
