What will you use for your baby to sleep in..
next to your bed at night? What about during the day?
I mentioned the Rock N Play sleeper to the nurse at one of the prenatal classes I took recently and she said that the baby should be free to move and the belt strap in the Rock N Play in unecessary. IDK, I still think the Rock N Play is fine for night time...
Thoughts?

I'm going to use the Rock n Play at the beginning. Most of my friends have, and they were very happy with it.
Think of how many babies are swaddled to go to sleep at night - they can't move an inch!

I think it's wishful thinking but I'm praying that my little one will go in the crib at night right from the beginning. The nursery is only 2 doors down from my master bedroom. During the day in the very beginning I will use a bassinet on the main floor.

we started with a bassinet, then used the bouncer, then the rock n play, and now a combo of the rock n play and the swing. the swing is in our living room. she will move to her crib once she can really move her head around well. DD is a noisy sleeper so we've already moved her out of our bedroom so that we could sleep better!!

I plan on using the co-sleeper at night, and during the day while downstairs the pack and play! If Im upstairs, I may put him/her in the crib. I want LO to get used to different places to sleep.

I was hoping to use the rock and play and know several other people who have as well. if that doesn't work the baby will go right in the crib!

we have a cradle and will be using that. i'm not getting the rock n play. daytime will be swing and/or bouncer

We did this for DS #1, and plan to do the same with DS #2.

We got the mini-convertible co-sleeper. We use it as a co-sleeper during the night, and during the day, it’s a bassinet. This can be used until baby reaches 30 lbs or can pull up to kneeling position. Then we’ll convert it to a playard.

i used the rock and play sleeper for all naps day and night for the first 6 weeks.
i didn't strap DD in ever.
I now have her sleep in the crib for night sleeps and nap in the R&P sleeper.
I still don't strap her in.
she can't move enough to fall out of it. that strap just seemed silly to me with her being so little as a newborn.

They are going into the cribs from the beginning. I had DD sleep in the same room with me because I was EBF. But this time it's 3, and I don't want to have to transition 3 babies, so cribs from day 1 it is. My sis did this with her twins and they have never had a problem going to sleep. I hope it works as well for me!

Prob do the same as we did with DS. At night in the bassinnet next to my bed, during the day either in the boppy or in the pack and play in my living room. He also sometimes slept in the bouncy seat.

I don't see how this is wishful thinking at all! IMO, this is the best way to do it because they get used to the crib right from the start and it's one less transition you and baby will need to deal with down the road. This is what we did with my son and it worked out so well. I EBF him and just went right into his room for nighttime feeding in the beginning. I felt better about that too, because I was never tempted to bring him into bed to feed him, which definitely would have led to me falling asleep! This is exactly what we plan to do with this baby.

We have the rock n play and the pack n play bassinet for the very beginning. We plan on seeing which one works out better or alternating between the two. Of course the crib is an option as well.
