i know every pregnancy is different. but just for fun how was your pregnancy like? With my DD..I had a great pregnancy but this time it's different. I am nauseous morning, day and night.

Just curious how people felt with a boy!

Re: those who have boys..talk to me about your pregnancy

I had a phenomenal pregnancy with my son! I had the slightest nausea on and off for maybe 3 weeks in the first trimester, some minimal back pain later on, and a little insomnia on and off throughout. Other than that, I felt great the entire time, and worked right up until the day I went into labor. This time around, I am having an even easier pregnancy (except more tired!!), but I don't know what I'm having.

Re: those who have boys..talk to me about your pregnancy

I had 2 boys and two dramatically different pregnancies. First one was easy and the second one was difficult. First one, lots of morning sickness. Second one, no morning sickness.

Re: those who have boys..talk to me about your pregnancy

I was SICK all the time! I lost 12 lbs from the 1st to 2nd trimester.

I couldnt eat ANYTHING!!!!

I have no clue how I gave birth to a 9lb 12oz baby boy!!!

How the hell did he get so big I ate like a BIRD!!!

But if I could have another DS like him I would do it all again in a sec. He is such a good baby!

Re: those who have boys..talk to me about your pregnancy

I have a DD and DS.

Both my pregnancies were pretty similar. I had morning sickness with both... actually started sooner and lasted longer with DD.

I am on my second boy pregnancy, and at nearly 31 weeks, I am just starting to feel "pregnant". No morning sickness, no nausea...seriously amazing! Of course, the tender tatas, and tiredness early on, but other than that...i am in love with being preggo!

Re: those who have boys..talk to me about your pregnancy

I have 2 sons and bouth my pregnancies were very different.

DS#1 - sick from BFP-10 weeks then felt fine. Had major HB from 10 weeks until delivery. Minimal movement from baby. Tired for first tri and about 36 weeks on. Felt great from 12 weeks to 36 weeks. Never 1 contraction or BH. Had a scheduled c/s on EDD due to size.

DS#2 - exhausted from conception to birth. The exhaustion never lifted. Sick alot, threw up into my 3rd tri not all the time but regularly. HB wasnt bad. Very active movement. Contraction or BH regularly since 26 weeks. never went into labor though. Had repeat c at 39w1d. Both DS's were nearly 10lbs at birth.

BIGGEST difference b/t being pregnant with my DD and the DS?
how fast/how much my leg hair grew!Chat Icon with Chat Icon i could go days and no hair would grow, with Chat Icon i HAD to shave my legs every day no matter what!
otherwise no difference just more nausea in the beginning at late afternoon in the first few weeks with my son.

Re: those who have boys..talk to me about your pregnancy

I have Chat Icon Chat Icon . With DD I craved sweets day/night (she does too now) & no MS only a tiny bit of nausea.

With DS I had more heartburn near the end & a bit more nausea; otherwise they were pretty much similar.

1 st three months, terrible morning sickness without throwing up. I think I would rather throw up.
2nd tri, cheese and jalepenos. I couldnt get enough of either. Like craved anything with cheese. Cheese soup, mac and cheese, cheese sticks, anything Mexican.
3rd tri, wiped out. Still craved cheese, and chocolate. I dont like chocolate but ate a whole HUGE bags of heshey kisses in a week.
Swollen feet, BAD carple tunnel, cried when the weather changed. Had an appetite of a linebacker. Could eat and eat all day long.

Re: those who have boys..talk to me about your pregnancy

I have two boys and both pregnancies I was sick as a dog for the first 3 months.

I had terrible heartburn in the last few weeks with DS #2, that I didn't have the first time. I also started having fainting spells from my blood pressure dropping (I have low blood pressure). That didn't happen my first pregnancy.

I have two boys and honestly they were similar. No morning sickness but a lot more uncomfortable towards the end.

Re: those who have boys..talk to me about your pregnancy

I have 2 sons and both pregnancies were identical. I never had any morning sickness and overall my pregnancy was relatively easy. I definitely was tired in the beginning, then had insomnia for most of my pregnancy and had the huge cankles - but it really wasn't bad.

This!!

No morning sickness!

But I only gained about 10 pounds.....I was like 45 pounds overweight to begin with & not that I limited my food intake...I just craved healthy foods!!

Re: those who have boys..talk to me about your pregnancy

I had terrible nausea until 20 weeks. That was longer than with DD. During my 3rd trimester I had acid reflux and insomnia. But i gained less and my back didn't hurt as much as it did with DD. I also didn't crave as many sweets.

Re: those who have boys..talk to me about your pregnancy

I had a great pregnancy with DS. I had m/s for about 3 weeks but that was it. I had sciatica in my 2nd trimester but a couple of visits to the chiropractor and a prenatal massage fixed that right up and the last few weeks my ankles would get swollen if I walked too much. I had GD so I only ended up gaining 13lbs because of the modified diet I was on.

This time around has been similar so far. My m/s subsided about a week ago (I'm 11 weeks). The only difference is that I am having a hard time sleeping and am a lot more tired (but that probably has a lot to do with the fact that I'm chasing around a 16 month old all day). I don't know what I'm having yet.

I was sick in my first trimester. It was mostly nausea, dry-heaving, but I did truly get sick a lot. I would wake in the middle of the night, hungry and nauseous. I had to keep dried fruit and cereal by my bed at night to keep the sickness away. Once I got into my second trimester, I felt great!!! By the time I got to the third, I started gaining weight. Until then, not much weight gain (5-7 lbs.) I felt good right up until the end and ended up going 2 weeks early. I think I ended up gaining 27 lbs.

I have 2 boys and with both pregnancies was nauseous for 4 months. With DS#1 I had it far worse, I would throw up almost every single night but with DS#2 just had the nausea. Hang in there!!!

Re: those who have boys..talk to me about your pregnancy

I have two boys and had two totally different pgs.

1st PG: no MS. Felt great. Only issue was carpal tunnel.

2nd PG: Spotting (due to a polyp on cervix); Constant MS all day/night until about 13 weeks and horrible heartburn thereafter until I had him. Also carpal tunnel.

Re: those who have boys..talk to me about your pregnancy

I had a good pregnancy with DS.

I had some nausea in the first trimester and migraine headaches. Other than that, it was good.

I say good becasue I just hated being pregnant. If I had enjoyed it - it would rank as great. Chat Icon
