Where do you go to check car seat?
I have seen some posts about getting your car seat checked after it is installed.
Where do you go for this?

Lots of fire stations do it. I went to Hassel Auto Body on 109 in Farmingdale. They were nice! They do it for free but I tipped the guy!

Ditto -- they installed the seat and made sure it was in properly on both of our cars and we were very happy.

So you can just go with it uninstalled and they'll do it?

Thanks! I am not far from farmingdale. How did you know that body shop does that? It seems like such a random place to have this done. My new mom fear has officially set in at 35 weeks!!!!

They also inspect them at the State Police barracks next to Republic Airport in Farmingdale. You just need to call to make an appointment.

Yup -- just call up in the morning to make sure someone is there to do it. Then bring it in, and that's it. Free of charge.

Very few of my IRL friends got theirs inspected.
It's not a law... but it's not a bad idea. If you're ever in an accident, and your car seat is installed incorrectly, the company is not liable for any injuries sustained.  Seriously, I spent five minutes at Hassel Auto Body. It was free. Totally worth it.
