Car seat check? a few questions.
Anyone go to the one at LIJ? I have been trying to call to make an appointment for a week now...left 2 messages, and have not gotten a call back! SO FRUSTRATING! 
Anyone have another recommendation for a place to go? I am due in about a month so I should probably get this done soon.
Also...since we have the carseat plus an extra base, should we bring both cars?
Finally...do they actually install the seat for you or do you bring it already installed and they just check it.

I called on Tuesday and Diane got back to me the next day. It's off of Old Country Rd. by the courthouses.

I need to do this too. The Mineola site sounds convenient since I'm in Westbury. I noticed that the next car seat check at LIJ is not until May 15 and that's a little risky for me considering I'm due on May 24.

They seem to be pretty flexible on the days they do them, but not sure about the time. I got a 1pm appointment for Tuesday.

Sorry, I forgot to reply to the entire post. They actually install the carseat for you, so I would bring both cars to have both bases installed. If you have your carseat installed already, they can just check it. But since I have no experience installed these things I'm just bringing mine and watching him install it. HTH!
