Someone explain round ligament pain to me please
B/c as much as I didn't want to post this and freak myself out. . .I have been cramping on and off for like 3 days and it's freaking me the freak out now and I'm really not one to worry. It's not accompanied by any bleeding but it's like SHARP pains mostly on my right side. It takes my breathe away at some moments. Is this round ligament pain? I don't remember this with DS#1. I did have a low grade fever on Monday and am recovering from a cold.
(I've had 3 bottles of seltzer today and I just finished a bottle of water, my pee is clear (TMI, sorry) so I don't think it's dehydration. )

It's pain on the sides, to me it felt like it was in my ovaries, like period cramps almost. I called the dr at about 17 weeks because it was worrying me. I told him that it felt like cramping and on the first day it was on the right side. The next day it was on the left side and then the next day (the day I called) it was on the right side again. He said it sounded like round ligament pain and that he wasn't worried.

were they constant? Mine come and go but when it's happening it's for like a good hour
They did come and go. One day it was constant, for probably over an hour. I had to lay down for a little while.
If you're really worried, call the doctor and describe exactly what's going on. I was getting scared and once the doctor said he wasn't worried, I totally relaxed about it.

Round Ligament Pain happened to me with my first, but not this one. Is it when you are switching sides in bed? It only happened to me when I was switching side in bed. For me it was a sudden sharp pain.

Did you call your doc? Maybe they would want to make sure you don't have a UTI or something - especially since you had a low grade fever. Won't hurt to rule that out... especially because it could cause bigger problems.
I had a UTI without knowing it and it turned out being the start of preterm labor that shortened my cervix.

Like PP said, mine was only if I moved quickly, coughed or sneezed. Since you had a fever as well, I think you should call to be safe.

Its horrible. From what I have been told by my Drs. it is worse with the 2nd and so on children bc everything is already stretched so it just hurts when it is being moved again. Everything stretched slowly with #1 but not the case with #2- I don't know if I am explaining it so it makes sense.
Sometimes for me it feels like a cramp you get when your run too hard or are out of breath, other times like dull period cramps. Basically I was told, "as long as you have no bleeding you are ok. Just sit down and rest, and drink some water. Also take tylenol. " Thanks DOC

When I had mine and felt like they were cramps, the dr put both arms like a V frm the ****** area up the thighs and pushed in really hard. She asked if that was where and it def was. Mine lasted a few days as well.
