Im going on progesterone
I just spoke with OB and my second beta shows my progesterone has decreased. So now I have to pick up a Rx from my pharmacy after work. I am so sad b/c it's too early for me to start having complications.

Re: Im going on progesterone
its not a bad thing. I am on the same thing. It just helps it along in the beginning. Hang in there. ps lots of discharge if it's an insert. wear a pad!

Re: Im going on progesterone
I am about to go off it but I've been on it since week 5. its no big deal at all! if it makes you feel any better, I have not had one single symptom or complication to my pregnancy and I had to use them!
I don't think this is a "complication" they do it as a precaution

ITA! It's not a bad thing, It's a precaution! Be thankful you're in good hands with your doctor who is trying to stop a problem before it starts!!
I was on Prometrium in my first trimester and was able to stop earliy in my second.
Don't think too much into it... just enjoy your pregnancy!

Re: Im going on progesterone
Honey it's perfectly normal and a VERY GOOD thing they caught it early! It's a pain depending on how often and what route you take, but the peace of mind it gives is amazing. I was on it w/Emmy and Barley until 12wks after a missed m/c due to plow progesterone. Trust me it's very much worth it!!! After 12wks the placenta takes over and that's it. Nothing to worry about

Re: Im going on progesterone
Try not to let it upset you. It really is just a precaution. I was on it as well in the beginning.

Re: Im going on progesterone
I was on progesterone suppositioruies until week 12. It's really no big deal, just annoying and messy. My progesterone was at a 6 so I started taking it right after ovulation. It supports the pregnancy with prog. until the placenta takes over. I had no side effects or anything...Im now 17 weeks and doing great.

Re: Im going on progesterone
I am on progesterone, and was with my last pregnancy. Some women just have low progesterone-- it's has NO affect on anything. Try not to let it stress you out

Re: Im going on progesterone
Don't worry. I had them too in the beginning. It just helps you maintain the pregnancy. I'm 28 weeks now and the baby is great.

Re: Im going on progesterone
Thank you! I feel so much better now. I just picked them up from the pharmacy. I only have to take it once a day. The instructions say in the morning. But I'm going to start tonigh so i can deal with any possible side effects. Thanks again
