After meds and bedrest for pre-term labor, just got back from doc and...
...my cervix lengthened!!!  It went from 2.8 to 3.4 in three days! That's after Indomethacin and strict bed rest since Tuesday.
FYI... I'm currently 29 weeks. It turns out I had pre-term labor, but it seems to be directly related to how much I do. So now, I have to stay on bedrest through the weekend and can go back to work on Monday. Then during the week, I have to come home and rest in bed immediately each day. No extracurricular activities.
Indomethacin continues until Monday morning and I'll probably take it every weekend. AND I start ProCardia tomorrow morning, which I'll probably stay on until later in the pregnancy. Procardia is anti-hypertension, which prevents contractions. I see the doc (peri-natologist) again on Tuesday.
I'm sure no one really needs to hear about all the info about me, per se, but I wanted to post it in case someone else is in the same boat so they can see what my doc's protocol is and maybe learn/benefit for their own situation, if need be.
I also have to add, I feel SO blessed to be in Dr. Kofinas' hands (and Dr. Pillitter, too, who referred me to Dr. Kofinas). I feel both doctors and most of the girls in that office really take AMAZING care of me and our baby. My DH and I feel so much like we are in great hands. ANY question I have is answered and the office is so professional. I thank God for them!
