What window treatments are you putting in your baby's room?

Right now, the baby's room is our spare room and we have room darkening shades that don't pull up right.

We want to get new window treatments - and were just going to replace the room darkening shades with the same kind. BUT... now I'm thinking we shouldn't get the baby used to room darkening shades (like we are) or else the baby will only be able to sleep in pitch dark? And that a baby's room should have light coming in?

What are you putting on your baby's windows?

ETA: our baby's room is on the second floor facing the street, which is east (will get the sun rising).

I'm also concerned about privacy/security issues for the baby.

We're going to have white blinds on the windows and then I'm going to add a sheer white linen (decorative purposes) with the matching valances to the baby's bedding set.

i am thinking the valance that will match the bedding along with wooden blinds that can be opened at add light

the room already had verticals so we just left those there. i didnt add any curtains or anything

We have white blinds and added sheers and silk curtains from PB:

We have a shade over the blinds in DS's room (used to be DD's). At nap time, it is great because it makes the room darker, though not pitch black.

DD moved from that room and her new room does not have a shade, just blinds that let more light in even when closed. She hasn't had a problem adapting.

The room for the new baby will have a shade as well-along with drapes or curtains.

We already have roman shades in the room and I will add a valance to match whatever bedding we pick.

we have white wood blinds and i added a valance just for decoration.

our windows inthe baby's room have the blindes that are like inside the window...and then we will use the vallance that comes with the bedding.
