Question

For those of you, whose DH could not make it to a Dr. apt and had someone else go with you....Do you have them come in the room with you??

DH has been able to make it to every apt so far, thursday im going for my 36 week, and i guess now that the apts are more frequent its not as easy for DH to get out early, so my mom said she would come with me, but i feel bad making her take time off of work if she is just going to sit in the waiting room.

i mean not like there is much going on in the apt itself, it will be just a quicky weigh in, blood pressure, heartbeat kinda apt. no internal or anything. so she prob could come in...

just wondering what you girls do in a situation like this.

I'm sure she could come in with you.

I never brought anyone but DH and my sister just to the level II (when we found out the sex); every other appointment I go alone which is totally fine with me b/c they are so over so quickly

i went to my first appt last week by myself and it was one of those follow up appts like you said. i didnt bring anyone with me since they're usually so quick and nothing happens.

I go to all my appt's alone unless it's a sono appt. I always make sure dh can attend those. Most of the time it's so fast and I'm in and out in no time. I've never asked anyone else to come with me for those appt's. My ds has tagged along a few times when I couldn't find anyone to watch him.

I'm sure they would let whoever you bring along in the room with you.

I went to one appt without DH and brought my mom...she came in with me and was able to hear the heartbeat. They don't care who comes in so bring her!

My mom has come to every appointment with me that DH couldn't make, she comes into the room with me.

Any appts my DH can't make my mama comes. My DH works far from my Dr & we want to save his days for when the baby is here, so any non sono appts he does not come. She loves coming so it works out well

I didn't bring anyone most of the time (I only brought hubby to sonogram appointments)....that probably seems bad. lol

I would let my mom come in.

If my husband cant come (like tonight he can't), I go alone...but I'm sure it'd be fine for her to go in with you!

ive had my mom come to an appointment like that and she came in with me. she wanted to hear the heartbeat.
i go very frequently because of my GD so lately i just go alone

My mom has come to an appt with me and has come into the room. It was fun for her to see LO on the screen and she really enjoyed it.

Having said that, a girlfriend of mine who also sees the same obgyn scheduled her annual pap smear so she could come with me. She came into the room with me as well (I offered). She wanted to see.

PS. My doc does a sono at every appt.

I think its ok to just want her in the waiting room for moral support...and FYI...my internals started at 36weeks...are you sure you're not getting one??

DH doesnt make it to every appt. He comes when he can. I just go alone or if one of my sisters wants to come then they do & they are able to come into sono room.

my friend goes by herself all the time for her check up appointments. she doesnt mind.

DH has not made it to hardly any of my appointments (except for the important ones, like the 20w sono) due to his work schedule, so my mom comes with me to every single appointment and she comes in the room with me.
