What do I do?...I have a cold and a 6 week old at home
DH had bad allergies which must have turned into a cold and my little guy now has congestion, we took him to the dr. and it's just in his nose, but now I'm feeling sick and I don't want to make him worse since he is getting better......what can I do? I can't stay away from him bc I need to take care of him

If you are breastfeeding, he probably won't get sick because of your antibodies.

Just try to limit how much you kiss him and breathe in his face while you are sick. And wash your hands as often as you can before holding him, feeding him, etc. It's so hard, I feel your pain! Hopefully it will pass quickly- feel better!!

I got very sick right when we brought DD home and into the 2nd-3rd week my cold developed into bronchitis and fever. I felt awful. Both regular dr, and DD's ped suggested I wear a surgical mask around her. Although I never did, the days I felt the absolute worst, I really stayed away from her. It was hard. I did a few feedings here and there, but other than that, I didnt go near her much. She never caught it.
