update on debidonnamom hair snafu!!!
Well, I was surprised but pleased that my stylist who had given me my organic perm on Friday, called today!! I told her I don't want another perm. But, at 2:30, she is going to wash/style my hair, for free. She wants to see what happened, so good for her, following up, but I feel a bit weird about it, because I don't like making her feel uncomfortable. She is a nice person, it's just that I don't feel I got what I paid for. Thanks for reading!!! Mary

Michelle, unfortunately, I did not look better. There seemed to be a bit of perm in my hair when she washed it, but I don't believe it was the normal amount for a body perm. She used a diffuser, and curling iron, and it didn't help. I came home and put curlers in my hair, since I have a Dr. appt. tomorrow, and don't want my hair to look bad. But the reason I got the perm was to not have to use rollers. Mary

The salon uses Shear Miracles by Robyn, made in Colorado.The brochure states that all their products are made from 100% organic/wild crafted ingredients, and they are chemical, GMO, preservative free, and manufactured in small batches. I liked the idea of organic, thinking perhaps it would be better for my allergies, since I'm allergic to regular perm; I always stuff up, afterward. I did not have quite the intensity of an allergic reaction from the organic perm, but I kept waking up, and smelling a really bad odor!!! The hair spray left my hair sticky. Mary

Did she say anything? Any advice? What about after she "styled" it? I understand not wanting to be mean, but you paid for a service she provided that turned to shitt....did she offer you anything?

No, just a free wash/style, but that's something. I think we both felt uncomfortable when I left. I was courteous, but did not give her a second tip. I'm thinking she might have at this point realized I still wasn't happy about the way my hair looked; I did not say, I'd see her again, so that kinda nailed it. Initially, I had talked to her about coloring my hair, but after this experience, I'm not going to. Mary
