Which crib? Changer or no changer?
I am torn over which crib to buy.
Should we get the (Sorelle) crib with or without the changer? DH and I will be buying all baby stuff ourselves and I know many dont even use the changer so I dont know if the extra $200 is worth it. We have a dresser but I think it would be too tall and dangerous to use as a changer.

is the changer detachable? if you dont think you'll use the changer then dont get it. you can always use the floor, bed, couch... etc.

Re: Which crib? Changer or no changer?
if it's an extra $200 it's soooo not worth it. you'll get to a point where you won't even change the baby in there much; you'll change him wherever it's convenient, on a changing pad

Re: Which crib? Changer or no changer?
i think the crib looks nicer without the changer attached to it...i would not spend the extra $200 for the changer attached and maybe look into a dresser/changer combo

Re: Which crib? Changer or no changer?
No changer.
When I first looked into cribs I liked the look of the crib/changer combo, until I read reviews where people said 1) the changer is smaller than your standard changer and you LO will grow too big for it too fast, 2) (providing the changer is attached) you can't leave anything on it because once your LO can stand they can reach whatever is on it and that's just not good.
You're better off getting a plain white changing station (if you wanted to get a changer). If not, then use whatever you want around the house!

I wouldn't get the changer. I too am using the dresser to put the changing pad on top of.

Re: Which crib? Changer or no changer?
My best friend had a similar crib for her DS....and when he hit about 2 years old, he figured out how to climb up onto the changer part... and he'd stand up there and call for her...
So, for me, I wouldn't get a crib with a changer attached.
If you have a large enough dresser, you can put the changing pad on the top of the dresser, and then when the baby's older and you're not really changing them on the changing pad anymore because they won't sit still, you can put it away and have a whole dresser top to use.

Re: Which crib? Changer or no changer?
I did not get a crib with a changer...my little sister climbed out of her crib and onto the changer when she was a baby...luckily she got scared and screamed, but did not fall off...I remember this b/c I was 12 when it happened...totally freaked me out!

I like that crib! I just canceled my Munire crib and am considering this crib or the Vista. I like it better without the changer. I think the changer is a waste of 200.
Use a dresser, or buy a cheaper changer. That's MO. Nice crib!! :)

Re: Which crib? Changer or no changer?
without. not only will you not use it for the length that DC is in the crib, BUT it also makes it harder to arrange/rearrange the furniture in the room!
I've never changed DS on a changing table - always the bed, the couch, the floor.

Re: Which crib? Changer or no changer?
Baby Bargains says no changer attached. As PP said, it is just a way for them to climb out.

Re: Which crib? Changer or no changer?
I WOULD get a changer but not that one. I have a Graco one and LOVE it! DD is 16m and when she is at home EVERY SINGLE diaper change since birth has been on it. I could never change her on the bed or floor. It is truely a lifesaver for me, plus we had a small nursery so I needed a changer that I could store those things on. Our dressers were dedicated to her other things.

Re: Which crib? Changer or no changer?
no changer.
it's a smaller size changer then you would use so it's only good for the first few months.
you're better off using a dresser as the changer and get a regular crib!

Re: Which crib? Changer or no changer?
If it doesn't detach, don't get it with the changer. And honestly, you can just put the changing pad on the dresser. That's what we did.

If you are considering this crib you might want to act fast since it's being discontinued from the manufacturer. At buy buy baby it is discounted from $399 to $299 and comes with the toddler rail. With the 20% off coupon that's a great deal but I don't think there are many left in stock.
