I need a reminder on how to wean my kid off the bottle
I credit daycare to DD #1 being weaned off the bottle so quickly and this time DD#2 is all me.
I would prefer NOT to buy every sippy under the sun like I did last time if possible, I have a few different kinds that she can try.
Any tips - I can't remember how to do this!
Thanks!

i'm trying to remember too, but i remember having to go cold turkey at some point and there were a few days in there that she barely drank milk. DD2 drinks well from a bunch of straw cups but it isn't the volume she needs to do.

DS took a lot longer than DD-it must be second child syndrome
I did try every sippy under the sun, but these ones worked the best:
Nuby makes them.
Now, he actually does okay with the take and toss too-day care used those ones.
I love not having to bring bottles into day care

As for "how to"-we took switched the day time bottles first, then took away the morning bottle.
The last to go was the evening bottle, but we filled him up at dinner so that he wasn't too hungry for a whole bottle, in seemed okay with the sippy.
I was nervous-especially since DS is fairly immature compared to others his age, but, he did fine with this transition.

I wish I could help you but I'm already on sippy cup #4 so obviously I am buying every sippy cup under the sun AGAIN
I just went cold turkey with DS so I'm going to do the same with DD when I switch to milk. Neither of my kids hold their own bottles either so I feel like if I dont go cold turkey, they'll never switch.

Thanks!
I'll keep trying. She always tries to steal Elizabeth's cups but she just plays with them, doesn't drink out of them.
Maybe I'll try it when I know she really wants her milk and see if it works. ugh...

Re: I need a reminder on how to wean my kid off the bottle
With DD I would give her cups with water...just to get used to them. Then I would give it to her with milk.
DS I have been doing the same thing for when he is ready to switch to milk.
