It took me 2.5 years to get my kid off the bottle

Yes, hate to admit it but it really took me that long to get him off. He has been off of it now for just about a month, he would ask for it all the time and I would tell him "Mommy needs to buy a new bottle it broke" and he would be fine with that answer. In 2.5 weeks he hasnt even mentioned it.

SO WHY MIL!!!!! IL's watched him overnight on Friday so we could go to AC, when we went to pick him up on Saturday he was sitting there sucking on a nubby sippy cup (the kid drinks from regular cups, no sippy's), WHY??? She turned to DH and said "you should give him back the baba, he really likes it and was looking for it all night, he's should at least have it at night" YEA UMM NO!!!

Then she got on DH about why DS doesnt drink milk. I wish I knew, he loved milk and as per my Dr's instruction was given 1% milk because of a strong family history of Diabetes. One day he decided he didnt want milk anymore. MIL's theory, 1% doesnt have the taste he is looking forChat Icon " She wanted to know where is he getting his calcium from......umm I would have to say CHEESE & YOGURT

She is a great woman really, but she always feels like she needs to be in control of MY KID.
