Is it necessary?

To have both a Swing & a Bouncer?

After getting them both yesterday at the shower, I think they are pretty similar and would just rather have the swing, but not sure if I need the bouncer?

HELP! Opinions please!!!

Re: Is it necessary?

I think so, DS hated the swing but LOVED the bouncer! It was a Godsend, the only way I could manage cooking dinner, going to the bathroom ect. was when he was in his bouncer. So many babies have their own preference, I would hold onto both and see. If your DC likes both all the better, you could keep one downstairs and one upstairs for instance, I was carrying both baby and bouncer into practically every room in the house I went.

Re: Is it necessary?

I think this is one of those things that I'd rather have and not use then need and not have.

I asked the same question of my BTDT mommy friends and most said that the baby used both at one point. Some said they loved both and others said they preferred one over the other, but all agreed that it was good to have them just in case.

Re: Is it necessary?

We had both. I loved the bouncer because it was portable. DS came everywhere in the house with me in that bouncer. Upstairs, downstairs, my bedroom, etc. I used to bring it in the bathroom and he would sit in it while I took a shower. I loved the swing too, but he grew out of that fast. The bouncer was a godsend! I used both a lot!!!

swing was where I could get them to sleep with all the motion..in the kitchen/fam room

but the bouncer is nice bec it is portable..I would take up to bathroom when showering, or in my room folding clothes etc!

MY SIL told me to get both. She also said the bouncer is good for feeding when they outgrow the swing. The bouncer/rocker is a lot more portable to bring if a family member is watching the baby.
