Freaking out---hair dye my face

I got my hair dyed on Friday at a place I've gone to before, but they had a "new" person doing the dying. Anyways, she got some hair dye on the side of my face and although we thought it was just on the skin (it wasn't rubbing off), it made the peach fuzz on the side of my face dark brown.

Now I have a giant sideburn on the side of my face and from trying to rub it off so much, my skin is now peeling and I have a bunch of zits around it. My skin isn't great right now from work stress but this is horribly embarrassing, it made me cry this morning.

Does anyone have any advice? Do I try hair bleach on my face? I'm so scared I'm going to make everything worse but cannot deal with this strip of dark hair on my face.

Did you try rubbing alcohol, or as a last resort nail polish remover? My hair person uses vaseline, but that might be more when it is freshly done. Chat Icon

If it's on the actual hair on your face STOP rubbing, that won't help. Either use tweezers or get it waxed/threaded. For next time tell them to use vaseline around your hairline to prevent that from happening.

The woman was rubbing my skin non-stop trying to get it off on Friday, she did not realize it was on the hair (or wouldn't admit it) and I did not realize until this morning, I have NOT rubbed it since Friday. There will definitely be no next time at this salon.

I guess I'll have to get it waxed when the skin heals. Just hoping it doesn't grow back double time.

sorry Rachie! Wear your hair down for now to cover your pretty new sideburns.

Oh ok I misread your post. I am so sorry, that just SUCKS. I would definitely say something to them! I have had this happen in the past and I just use tweezers to remove the darkened hairs. So sorry! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
