fake rings?

We walked around for a while today and I noticed my rings were snug -- only could get off my e-ring. they both slide on/off now that i'm back indoors but it made me worry since I will be very pregnant during the summer and I have a ways to go. My wedding band is an eternity band and I really dont want to risk having it cut off!

While it's early I might start thinking about retiring my rings in an abundance of caution. I don't really care about a fake e-ring, but I'm thinking I'd like to get a fake wedding band especially because I look super young. If I'm going to look like I'm 16 and pregnant I'd rather do it with a ring Chat Icon

I'm thinking a smallish eternity band, $25 or less? Is that doable? Should I go one size up from my regular size? Half a size up? Also, any websites or stores you would recommend? Ebay? QVC? a department store? Anyone else do this? How much bigger did you go?

Edit: eyeing this on ebay for $23 free shipping. Smallest size is a 6... I think I currently wear a 4.5 or 5... hmmm

Re: fake rings?

I got a fake look alike e-ring and wedding band for the pregnancy since I don't want my real rings cut off if they get stuck.

I got my set for $60 on fantasyjewelrybox.com and they look real & I get compliments all the time like it's my real set Chat Icon

Re: fake rings?

I meant to get one, but never got around to it. I had a stack able ring of three bands that I occasionally wear, but most of the time I forget. I did notice that when I forget I drop the my husband line alot more than I do normally though, hahaha. I would totally recommend doing it, I wish I had.

Re: fake rings?

I lost a bunch of weight last year and my rings are like 3 sizes too big, so I went and had the balls put in and then lost more weight so instead of keep sizing and resizing (knowing I was going to try to get preg) I bought a fake ring at Lord & Taylor.. it's very similar to my real band.. it has 5 large round "diamonds" and it looks very real.. I constantly get compliments on it lol. I think it was $20 and I used a 20% off coupon.. I wear it to work constantly and never have to worry.. great investment! Chat Icon

Right now my finger is a size 9.5 and I have the ring guards on it.
My fingers usually swell (when im not pregnant) on hot days so being that i'll be 8-9mo. pregnant in the summer I got them extra big so I can wear them up until delivery!

Re: fake rings?

I mean to do this.. but I never got around to it. However I did buy some fashion jewelry here and there, and I'm usually a size 7 and an 8 fits me just fine.

Re: fake rings?

My swelling took over pretty early, and I had to retire my rings at about 4 months. I bought 3 stackable rings (all identical) - amethysts/diamond chips at Kaye Jewelers. Spent about $120 on the whole set up.

I'm 1.5 sizes than my normal jewelry - and they're sometimes snug.

I like QVC's Diamonique jewelry, looks pretty believable & not too expensive.

Yup, I got mine there for $7! I only got a wedding band, not an ering. I figured one was enough. I usually wear a size 5.75 ering and 6 wedding band and I actually got a size 8 "fake" and at the end it was getting a little snug (and this was in the winter!) but it worked fine.

I'm 15 w PP and my real rings have been back on for several weeks now, thankfully!
