Okay I just finished and I am just stunned with things that went on (or I should say didn't go on) in this trial. How the heck haven't these three been granted a new trial?? Except for the sketchy confession there was no evidence. I think that kid Christopher's stepfather did it.
I hope that one day these three little boys find real justice for the horrible way they were murdered!!

If you REALLLLLLLLLLLLY want to know more about the case rent the documentary "Paradise Lost 2"
it covers everything in Paradise Lost 1 but with MORE evidence and stuff.
its the most effed up thing ever.
and EVERY time they have a "new" trial they give Damien the SAME judge
its sad that the killer is running free.
seriously, really rent the video. yoiull see how crazzzzzzzzzzy christophers dad . (ex.: they found new evidence of a bite mark on one of the kids.... and christophers dad then had all of his teeth removed before they did dental tests on him.... and he had about 3 dif stories how he lost his teeth)

The article I just read had stuff about the bite marks but not the thing about him removing his teeth
From the beginning of the article I read I thought it was him but when the part with him giving a knife to the filmakers of the documentary and it had Christopher's blood on it. I was like he is soooo guilty. I hope this case goes to supreme court and then they would get a new judge. I mean the current judge is totally biased against the three of them, how can they not get a new judge

Damien is scheduled to be executed sometime this year i believe.
HERE'S a great way we can try to help. by writing a few sentances to the Arkansa Gov.

they are making a Paradise Lost 3 now.....

This is one f the most disturbing cases I have heard about. I rented the documentary several years ago and was just appalled by what appears to have happened.

you can say that again!!!  i was drooling all night! we were in the fourth row, right next to the stage, and when eddie came over to that side, he was looking right at us (before he fell backwards over the speaker  )... i said to DH "If he jumps into the stands and comes to me me, i can kiss him, right? 
(DH was like 'hell yeahhhh'... like he'd be proud to tell everyone that his wife kissed Eddie Vedder )

DH is in Ten Club... so they try to hold the best seats for them... and he's been in it for years and years, so he would get better ones than someone that just joined, ya know?
he was like a kid in a candy shop the whole night- i've never seen him so happy

OK... so we rented Paradise Lost tonight (they only had the 1st one though so we have to go to another store tomorrow to get the other one).
Honestly.. right now, i'm still SO up in the air, and need to do ALOT more research before i could truly feel that they were completely innocent. Part of me wants to feel like they were because Seriously... if that was not some backwoods, Crazy christ worshipping town they lived in, then i don't know what was. I felt so bad for the parents of the victims (BTW- didnt realize they were going to show those Graphic photos of the boys )... anyway, i felt horrible for them BUT there was something so 'off' about them. and i don't mean just losing a child off... but OFF. i cant explain it, but i just got the weirdest vibes rom them (and that's not even including the Psycho step-dad, who is a story unto himself).
The thing is- Eventhough i dont have that 100% feeling just yet that they were completely innocent... there was NO EVIDENCE to prove them guilty.. SO to be sentenced to DEATH.. without even having any sort of testimony (since Jessie didnt testify against them) boggles my mind.
the closing statement from the prosecuter really left me thinking W T F?! "wearing black doesnt make you a murdered, listening to heavy metal doesnt make you a murderer, and reading certain books (like stephen king) doesnt make you a murdered... but when you put all 3 of those together...."
Is he Freaking kidding me?! then that means i know alot of murders... and better yet, seeing as how stephen king is a best seller... they should just arrest people as they try to buy his books. Especially if they're wearing black! 
However... my BIGGEST problem was 1. when Jason's attorney asked him if he thought that Damien was capable fo doing that, and he really didnt answer. and 2. when Damien seemed almost content with the fact that future generations would think of his as the West Memphis boogy man. Those 2 major points left an unsettling feeling with me.
I really cant wait to see the 2nd one though... and read up more on it. I don't trust the stepfather as far as i could throw him... he embodies everything that is known to be Shady in this world... and i get naucious just seeing him.
i mean, i know that its very 'backwoods' (or so it seems) but i feel like even if you held a mock trial in a high school in NY, you'd have kids saying "wait, how could you mess that up, or how could THAT be considered evidence". Yet, these "professionals" felt that it was strong enough to sentence the 3 of them to life????
-the mail order PhD (that requires NO classes)
- "oh, i lost that evidence (the blood that was dripping off the random guy in a restaurant down the road)" (said by the detective)
- the step dad and step son had the same DNA (NO THEY didnt... its impossible. Try getting a genetics kit that wasnt made by milton bradley)
- the coersion for the 'right' answers
-a girl who was no where near damien (that she can remmeber) yet she hears him say the words that he did it.
i mean Honestly.. THIS was their defense  and was enough to sentence them to LIFE, in our good old court system?? They had a TON more evidence on OJ, yet he's probably cruising around downtown LA right now, laughing at the courts
ok, thats all i can think of for now.. i'll ramble on some more after i watch the 2nd part, and read the articles that DH was telling me about
