Shower Game Prizes?

What are normal types of prizes to give out for shower games?

I was thinking Bath and Body Works stuff (hand soap, mini candles, etc.).

My mom got REALLY cute notepads in the dollar store, but I don't see them as worthwhile prizes, unless paired with something. I hate to hurt her feelings by shooting down her prize, but I think -although they're pretty - they're a bit chintzy.

What do you think?

I went to the B&BW outlet and got a whole lot of soaps for $1 each and used those as prizes. I also got some candles at Yankees Candles Outlet and used those as well.

I like notepads, too. You could pair them, or just give away a LOT of prizes so more people win things. It's always nice to feel like a winner!

I like the candles idea. I also like the mini bath and body works stuff.

For my bridal shower we went to Target and they had a waffle maker and some other electronic on sale for $10 each so we picked up a few and people went crazy for them. It looked like my mom spent a lot more then she did.

I think the note pads are fine. I don't think anyone really thinks they are getting a pot of gold when they win. Some other suggestions: starbucks gift card, vintage pic frame (cheap at Michaels), esse nail polish
