Is there a Hospital that Offers FREE classes?
and if so, do you have to be delivering there to take them?

We just took a "pregnancy basics" class through my Dr. office - I got to Contemporary Womens care in Smithtown @ St. Catherines. The class is offered through CFA for their patients but I was wondering the same -- the cost of other classes I'd like to take through CFA adds up -- though I'm sure worth it.

Huntington Hospital offers free classes. I think the only one you have to pay for if you are not delivering there is CPR.
They offer:
Pre-Natal I
Pre-Natal II
Infant Care
Labor and Delivery
Breastfeeding

Stony Brook has a series of 3 free classes I think.

While I was staying IN the hospital, they offered a breastfeeding class and a "how to bathe a baby" class. Find out what your hospital offers first

i did and my hospital charges for everything except the tour. their prep for childbirth class is almost $200

I think some of the prices for childbirth classes are outrageous. I just took the free ones at other hospitals. I don't think you have to deliver there nor how would they ever really know.
Southside and Stony Brook offer free classes.
