Heartburn in 3rd tri
Question for the girls who are in they 3rd tri. I'm 33 weeks and just started having pretty bad heartburn. My question is, does it last til the end or does it go away? Tums are not cutting it!

I have had terrible heartburn every day since getting pregnant! I live on Zantac. Tums did nothing for me.

YES! I was laying down today (not even all the way, I was elevated!) and I could feel the acid rising up my esophagus and thought I was going to hurl! It's disgusting and so uncomfortable!

With both of my pregnancies I've had consistent heartburn from second trimester until delivery. It stinks!

With my first pregnancy, the heartburn ended as soon as I delivered. There is no heartburn like third trimester heartburn!

I have been living on Zantac.
I had it SO bad with DD#1 from like 16 weeks on that I would throw up from it so I was taking pepcid. It didnt do much. It was so painful and horrible and I had horrible food aversions with her as it was. I swear I barely ate!
This time, it just started recently to get really bad that I need to take more than tums. Zantac works WAY better than the pepcid.
I also drink milk and try to stay away from sauce, and acidy stuff early am and at night.
Srsly.. the second my DD was out the heartburn was GONE. It was so weird.

I had bad heartburn in the 1st trimester, nothing in the 2nd and it came back like a monster in the 3rd!! It stinks!!

I am 39 weeks and it has gotten less frequent but it is still there. But when it comes it is worse! So it's a trade off I guess lol

Mine is so bad, Its actually painful. I have been taking tums and it helps only just a little. It is terrible at night.

Not in the 3rd tri, but I've been taking Zantac 150 twice a day and it does wonders for heartburn!

OMG ladies.. it comes back in the 3rd??? I have serious heartburn now during 1st tri and was hoping to be done with it in a month..

Don't worry, everyone is different, you may not! I didn't get any heartburn in the 1st tri at all, 3rd tri is a different story!

I only have 4 days left and I still have awful heartburn  The 3rd tri has been the worst for heartburn.

With DS I had HB consistantly from 10 weeks until the MINUTE he was born!
It was horrible but I felt instant relief when they pulled him out!
This time around my HB seems to have gotten worse in the late 3rd trimester....
Also as far as how to help it. Drink milk.
Cut out citrus, caffeine, red sauce, mint
I totally feel it worse if I have something from the list above.
