How long do you plan on breastfeeding.. with poll
soooo...someone asked me today how long I plan to breastfeed....
I figured I'd ask everyone!
And do you plan to solely breastfeed or a combo of pumping and breastfeeding? Or just pumping??

maybe 3 months? until I go back to work, I guess
I know by law you have to be able to pump in a private area that isn't a bathroom...but I just can't see myself doing that with my job.......

I get 18 weeks off, so at least 18 weeks... I will try to pump once I go back to work but until I've BTDT I really cant say if that will really work for us... maybe BF and FF at that point

i plan on BF while home on maternity leave (4 months) and then pumping as long as possible. I am going to just see how it goes.

I EBFd DS for 15 months. I am a SAHM. My short term goal with him was 6 weeks.
This time my short term goal is 12 weeks for the twins, long term goal 12 months.

I ebf ds till a year so I want to at least go that long. I will have to pump this time since I. Will be in school.

I chose other because I plan to go to at least a year, but then will let LO decide when to self-wean. My DC1 is over 1 and still BFing.

Ideally, I'd like to shoot for a year. I will be home for the first year and would really like to make it the full year between nursing and pumping.

Like 2 months - I then want to do bottle & breast feed for 1 month & then completely bottle by the time im back to work in 4 months

I BF'd DD until she was 20 months old. At that point, I decided to stop. She was only nursing at night so I decided to see what happened if I didn't offer her the boob. She didn't care - and that was that! I will do the same for any other children that decide to come along!

Me too. But then again who knows, I know some people only do 6 months.

I voted for 6 months.. i'm hoping for a little longer..
actually i'm hoping i'll be able to breast feed period. My mom wasnt able to produce milk with either myself or my brother, so im not sure if I will be able to :-/

I'd love to make it to one year, but I have to go back to work after 12 weeks. So, it all depends on my ability to pump at work, and how much of a supply I'm able to build up in the freezer!

between 6 and 12 months!!
def not after a year, and most likely if the baby is still taking breast milk between 6 monts and 12 months it will be coming from a bottle and i will be pumping...
pretty much once that kid has teeth if i am still producing milk it will be pumped

I'm a SAHM and with my first I set a goal of 6 months but was able to make it 2 weeks past his first birthday.
I hope to do the same this time around...but who knows with a 2 year old running around!
