Track lighting in my kitchen and DIAGONAL wood paneling in my dining room! We have plans to change both and have even had the new light fixtures for a few years already, but there are other projects we need to finish first.

Bathroom - built in 1952 and hasn't been changed. Will be finished before the year's end.

our master bath was a 1980's horror, its gutted right now and we are redoing it.

the only other thing that's really bad is the window arrangement in the front. The previous owners added the second floor and they put a semi-circle window that is meant to be used in a high ceiling above normal windows, they installed it by itself at the same height as the normal windows. it screams bad 80's renovation. when we re-side the house we will take it out.

Entire kitchen with the cheapest cabinets I have ever seen, linoleum floors and ugly wallpaper, both bathrooms with the seashell cut out sinks.

Oh and the ugly 1970's light fixtures in the hallways!

Everything except the hardwood floors upstairs in the hallway and our bedroom and the carpet in the other bedrooms. Other than that, it ALL needs to go. Tne previous homeowner renovated in the 90s and while everything is in full working condition and we are leaving it for now, it is definately outdated. Once I am out of school and working again we plan to renovate one room at a time.

Re: What do you have that is considered "dated" in your home and want to replace?

It's funny - the couple who owned our condo before us were older but his taste was that of a 25 year old (amazing) and hers was more typical - she has taste of a woman in her 60's b/c that is what she is. So, they updated everything in the house - he chose 99% of it and it is all modern (new kitchen with things I could have chosen, new baths with the vanities that look like furn. with granite tops, crown moulding throughout, etc.) He even wanted to put a big TV above their fireplace but she objected lol. The only thing he let her choose was the flooring and the window treatments -- the two things that are not the most up-to-date! She chose verticals in the front of our living room :( and mini blinds Chat Icon in our bedroom. Then, I guess he took over b/c we have a beautiful Hunter Douglas back door shaded slider Chat Icon and beautiful shades in the other bedrooms as well as my kitchen. It's kind of annoying b/c some windows are so nice and then others not so much! At least they are all in new condition - can't say much. But the carpet is going to be the death of me. It is a light tan, so light, shows everything - and so plush that the second I vac it there are prints from me and the dogs and DH walking on it. THE MOMENT I AM DONE. Chat Icon So, that is getting replaced immediately but all in all the place was totally renovated and redone - and everything is pretty modern.

I went Kohler gold faucets/shower in one of my bathrooms about 8 yrs ago. I hate it now(very Donald Trumplike) and want my DH to replace it. Everything else in my house is current.

We're de-Trumping my house gradually. They were clearly obsessed with brass/gold. DH is changing door knobs/hinges to oil rubbed bronze as we speak as I'm online trying to find bronze bathroom hardware.

My kitchen is also ancient but we plan on gutting it in a few years so we're just doing an uplift now.
