Re: In the hospital...
I don't have any personal BTDT advice. But I was hospitalized when I was pregnant with my DS because of high blood pressure. My roommate was there (she was around 28 weeks) because her fluid was really low.
They kept her for 3 days on IV and after a few more sonos saw the fluid was rising again. They released her and she had to remain on strict bedrest.
She had a whole slew of issues though, GD, High Blood Pressure, overweight, and low amniotic fluid. She was a mess.
No idea what happened to her after she was released. I like to think she delivered a healthy full term baby

Re: In the hospital...
Hang in there!
My cousin's wife had her water start to break at 22 weeks. Because it was so early and she had Medicaid, they actually sent her home until 24 weeks because they said if they had to deliver at that point it wasn't considered a viable pregnancy!! (This was in NH, where the hospitals aren't as good.)
She stayed in the hospital until 36 weeks at which point she delivered a healthy baby boy! He is doing great now! It was tough to be in the hospital because she has a 3 year old too. Hang in there, it will all work out!

Re: In the hospital...
I had low amniotic fluid with my 2nd DD...I was in and out of the hospital and on strict bedrest from 31 weeks until I delivered at 39 weeks. Mine fluctuated daily, but never came close to a normal level...Every time they sent me in and said to be prepared to deliver, my fluid somehow increased to a level where they would let me wait for a few more days. Good luck!

Re: In the hospital...
this happened to me! i was 24 weeks along when i woke up soaking wet with amniotic fluid. i went into the hospital in aug. of 2006 and was diagnosed with premature rupture of membranes. i stayed on bedrest for 8 weeks. they gave me shots to help develop the baby and i just ate and ate to help the baby grow big.
my son still came out early in oct. of 2006 (he was due in dec.) and he spent 5 wks. in the NICU. he was one of the biggest ones at 4 lbs. 5 oz.
my advice to you would be to just take it one day at a time. drink lots of fluids, eat and get a lot of rest. one doctor told me, and i still remember this, one day in the womb is like one less week in the NICU.
good luck and fm me if you need anything else! ETA: my son is now 4 yrs. old and is relatively healthy. he has a peanut allergy and has asthma. other than that, he is catching up in height and weight to his other 4 yr. olds
