It was most definitely love at first sight for us.

It had a basement and garage and was EXACTLY where we wanted to be.

I loved my house when I saw it, but it already had an accepted offer. A couple weeks later we found a house that we thought was the one, we went into contract, the deal fell through, our house's deal fell through as well and went back on the market so we jumped on it and got it. It was meant to be...

We had been looking for two years, and lost more then one house. When we saw this one I was basically jumping up and down before we could get through the whole house. We put a full asking price offer in before we left the showing!

Everything works out in the end, this house is sooo much better then the other houses we lost.

We were 23 and 24 when we bought the house... we are really young...therefore, it was the best that we could do for what we could afford. The house was practically in ruins when we bought it...dirty, holes in the wall, etc....but we have turned it into a wonderful home that will work for us for somewhere in the ballpark of the next decade.

We loved some things, but had reservations about some things. We were not sure if we were compromising or settling. But when we sat back and thought of all the pros and the house compared to all the houses we have seen in our 3 YEAR house hunt, we knew it was the right house for us. Now we are in love. It's not perfect, I will admit but you can't have it all either. You have to house hunt a lot to really know this though.

My DH was pretty much sold as we drove down the street and he saw the neighborhood and properties. I wasn't initially interested, so it took some convincing on my DH's part. (It didn't take too much convincing because we made an offer in the driveway the first day the house went on the market.)


ETA: we didn't like the actual house...it was about the location for us.

I would say so, DH and I were set to view like 10 apartments, and ours was the 3rd one we saw and we just had a feeling that was the one, and we kept comparing the rest of the apts we saw to ours. I wanted to see it one more time before I made my decision final but I knew it was what I wanted.

Nope, but it was the best one that we found. We had to do some remodeling, but still not happy with it. Next time we are going to take our time, and make sure it will be our "dream house". We call this our starter home, and can't wait to get out of it.

it was love from the second I set eyes on the listing. it had a video tour and a ton of pictures. we had 10 houses to see that day and "the" house was last. all day I kept refering to it by the street name house. every house we saw that day I kept saying its not as good as the x street house is going to be. and it wasn't a let down at all! I love my house
