when I found out I was pregnant with DD I quit smoking, yes it was hard watching and smelling DH. I went crazy and eventually was fine but then I couldn't stand the smell of it.

I also have been major stressing about TTC and smoking. I say everyday that tomorrow I will do it, but then I think it is impossible. My friend said to me that I "obviously don't want to have kids that bad since I won't quit". I disagree...it is just really hard. I am glad I am not alone!!!

You can do it!!! Just keep telling yourself that! Keep chewing a LOT of gum, and keep urself busy. It will pass, hopefully sooner than later

I am going through the same thing right now. I am not actively trying to TTC just yet, but since my DH quit 3 weeks ago, I decided to quit. It has only been a few days, I caved in and smoked a few today. It is hard!! I have also been chewing lots of gum and trying to keep busy. You can do it! You already are, good luck

i had a big long response typed but the puter crashed.
20 yrs ex smoker here..quit cold turkey last april. wanted to die literally.
so i cant imagine the withdrawl plus preg hormone.
seriously though...grieve the loss of the "friend" who was really a frenemy kwim?

Im sure its not an easy thing to quit cold turkey but just think about that little precious being growing inside of you. Stay strong...in the end you'll have a healthy and happy baby!

It clocks how much money you save and how many years of your life you are saving by quitting. It also has a countdown calculator that lets you know you are xxx days smoke free. There is also a forum. It's a great website.
