If you have Christian L's...
Does the red come off the bottom?
I have started to *possibly* think about getting a pair. But I feel like after 5 wears, the red would be scratched off?
Also, how do the sizes run? I'd probably buy online. (If I ever got the nerve to blow that much money on shoes.)

Re: If you have Christian L's...
I think they run pretty true to size.
The red only scratches...it doesn't really "come off" but you always see it b/c of the parts of the shoes that don't touch the floor (the arch part)...the inside of the heel.

Re: If you have Christian L's...
The red comes off the bottom on the front where you walk, but a good cobbler can re-sole them for you. I find that they run a little small, but every style is a bit different. I recommend trying them on to be sure. I'm pretty much always a 7 and I have two pairs one that's a 7 and ones a 7.5.

Re: If you have Christian L's...
Yes the red does come off the bottom like the other girls said but there's a place in the city where you can get a red rubber sole put on them to preserve the red and I'd definitely recommed trying on a shoe before you buy it, some run very small some true to size but it really depends on the shoe

Re: If you have Christian L's...
The red scratches off on the ball of the foot but not where you actually see it from behind,,, And def try them on.. They run small and narrow on the toe area..

agree and agree -
I am also VERY hard on my feet and the red sole absolutely comes off - next pair are going to the man in the city for rubber sole BEFORE I step out in them

Re: If you have Christian L's...
I would say def some of the sizes run pretty small. You can go to Bergdorfs or Saks or one of his boutiques in NYC to try them on. I ordered my regular size in the Pigalle and had to go up a size, they were sooo tight! Also, does anyone know of someone on the island who does the soles? thanks!

I buy them from here and have my cobbler in Mineola put them on.

Re: If you have Christian L's...
Thank you all for this info! So if you get a red rubber sole put on to protect the shoe, can you see it? Too bad the red wears off so quickly.

I take all my shoes to leather spa also!!!! Yes, the red comes off the bottom a little bit. I think each pair of CLs run differently. i have two and one is 6.5 the other 7.5 I suggest trying them on.
