What I find amusing is the name of this show is "THE VIEW", but it appears to me that it's only THEIR view (with the exception of Hasselback, whom I think is right wing). Thank God I am not alone... I watch his show regularly and because of that, I knew what he meant.
I despise "The View". I loved the fact that he was able to get the cackling hens to walk off their own stage :)

GO girl! Conservative republican here too!! And I totally agree with you. DH and I actually went to see him and Glenn Beck in the summer they were fantastic and he is no dummy.

I agree with all the above. . .Dh and I are conservatives as well and I really like O'Reilly. Can not stand Joy. She is so annoying!!

I can get that this was unprofessional, but if someone said Muslims attacked us on 9/11, and wouldn't make the distinction between all Muslims and extremists, I'd walk away too. Just like I'd walk away when someone made any prejudiced comment.

I think the way O'Rielly came off might have been wrong b/c he didn't distinguish the difference b/c Muslims and Extremists, however, as professional INTERVIEWERS how the he!! do you justify walking off a set b/c you do not agree with somebody. Especially when what he saying is the truth, 70% of Americans do NOT want the mosque built downtown according to a CNN poll.
I happen to watch O'Rielly often and he is NOT stupid and not an extreme right wing Republican. IMO he tells it like it is and people don't like that b/c sometimes the truth hurts.
I Like Whoopi and think she got caught up in the moment. If you watch the show she is usually very fair in her opinions.
Joy Behar on the other hand preaches about equality for all yet if she disagrees with anyone she makes fun of them and criticizes them. How many times has she blasted the Catholic Church on air?? Yet when it comes to political correctness we are suppose to believe her??? Please she is naive.

Honestly, what did they expect him to say, its Bill OReilly. I mean COME ON.
I rarely agree with him, but I do find him entertaining.
I also dont think he believes half of the stuff he says, but a lot of it is just devils advocate, its his shtick.
I think the ladies on this show are ridiculous, the bickering, fighting amongst themselves, walking off.
They would be perfect for LIF.

1. O'Reily was speaking from a CNN poll and its the truth 70% of americans do not want the mosque by ground zero. Did you know they wanted to build a Greek Orthodox Church in the same location but it was voted down?
2. O'Reilly isnt really a conservative he is a more left of most conservative republicans pretty much your typical long island republican liberal on most issues and conservative on some
3. Joy and Whoopi are the biggest babies I have ever seen. I dont agree with half the people I know but would I get up and run away when someone disagrees with me no flippin way. Grow up these 2 have ruin the show
4. To the person who said they wanted to punch Glenn Beck in the face. Do you know him? Why because he speaks what he believes which if you RESEARCH what he says its true? Ive met Mr.Beck and he is the most humble person Ive met in the media. He is a father and a husband. Would you like it someone wanted to punch your dad or husband in the face because they didnt agree with what they said?

They were upset that he didnt distinguish Muslims from extremists/terrorists. like he was categorizing all Muslims as terrorists. Which isnt the case. Could he have been a little more clear..Yes. but if you watch his show, you know he doesnt group them all together.

I am a Bill fan as well. Yes he should have distinguished between Muslims and extremists, but he speaks a very fair and honest opinion in most cases.
Joy & whoopi have a very liberal POV and it annoys the hell out of me, but hey thats them. They were very unprofessional by storming off b/c they did not agree, it was a political debate between adults.
And just for the record I DO NOT AGREE WITH A MOSQUE BEING BUILT SO CLOSE BECAUSE OF MUSLIM EXTREMISTS, THIS IS OUT OF RESPECT FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS LOST A LOVED ONE BECAUSE OF THSE PSYCHOTIC A-HOLES.
American liberals have to wake up and realize that these people WILL get the best of us if you don't get off your politically correct azzez and do something. Peace and love is over and will never work with Terrorists.

Everyone knows that, but the attackers were extremist Muslims. The failure to add extremist implies that ALL Muslims are terrorists. It would be like me saying Chrisitans bomb abortion clinics, but refusing to add that its extremist Chritians who do that.

I really don't care what 70% of the country thinks. I live in Manhattan not to far from this site. The community board approved it, meaning the people that live and work in this area don't mind that its being built there. As far as I'm concerned if you don't live here, you don't get a vote. I haven't heard anything about a church. Source?
As for Beck, I have no respect for this man. He is a fear monger, pure and simple. Saying I wanted to punch him was a bit dramatic but I put him in the same camp as O'Reilly. The NY Times magazine did a very interesting profile on Beck last weekend.

i'm with you - i don't necessarily like him but i agree with a lot of what he says! the reason for that guy wanting to build a mosque near ground zero is bc there "isn't one downtown" but there is and it's only a few blocks away. while there's a difference between muslims and muslim extremists/terrorists/etc. there is still a sensitivity when it comes to that site so why is there such a NEED to build there? there are plenty of other open sites in downtown manhattan to build it and donald trump offered the guy $5 million more than what he paid for it to buy it from him so he could find another location. i just don't think that his intentions are all innocent...
I couldn't agree more with what you said..I think his delivery is bad MOST of the time, but I do agree with him a lot he just has a really bad way of saying things and has anger management issues

1. The Greek Orthodox Church is not located where the "Mosque" (its really a community center) is, the church is across from Ground Zero and the only reason they can't rebuild yet is because they need the space to construction FOR Ground Zero.
As for Glenn Beck I really hate him because he tries to instill fear and hatred toward certain groups of people (Muslims, liberals, Obama, etc.) It is not about disagreeing with what he says, it is about the way he tries to spread hate and fear that bothers me and I'm sure others.

It IS a mosque, within a 'community center'. For any who don't know this, right now at this moment it is a functioning mosque in that building where daily prayers are held. Right now.

They make me sick. If its not one of them, its another. I also dont believe a lot of what goes on. They wear those ear pieces and I believe they direct them as to what to do to get more ratings, drama, etc. Barbara Walters was visibly angry which made me happy. Grow up!

I'm not a follower of The View but am thinking that they manage to stir up drama every once in a while. Even my husband's ears perked up and said "Them again." He had no idea they were still on. That clip was shown all over TV. It was good for publicity. I think Barbara loved that it happened in spite of her comment.

I don't watch Bill O'reilly, but I happened to catch it the evening after the walkoff just to hear his viewpoint and i agreed with him. He didn't distinguish b/w Muslims and Muslim extremists b/c it was not necessary. he made a point - do we clarify that during WWII we fought against German extremists or Japanese extremists? No - everyone knows. I think it was a little dramatic for them to walk off.
