Autism info on today's VIEW
Hi, Just thought I would let you moms know that the entire VIEW programme today is dedicated to autism...tony braxton is a guest co host and her son was diagnosed with autism 4 months ago.
It only started but interesting already..I wasnt aware that it affects boys more than girls...1 in 4 kids affected is a boy.
I wonder will they bring up the whole vaccination link/scare to autism.

I'm watching it. One of my best friends works with Autistic Children, she does amazing work.
She doesn't believe the whole Autistic/Vax connection.

I started crying when Toni Braxton almost lost it. 
I think it's very important for people to learn about autism because there are people out there whose children have it and they do not seek the proper care.

Toni Braxton (although I really don't love her) just broke my heart today. You just saw how overwhelmed she was with her sons diagnosis

i have heard that statistic is rather skewed and should not been taken as accurate by those working within the autistic community. kind of a "scare tactic" as part of the awareness campaign to gather funds. i don't know how true that is though... 
I have heard that too- that now autism is sort of an umbrella term that kids fall into that would never have fallen under before- I posted a link to an article about that very thing a few weeks ago that was very interesting and worth the read.
