Re: Bare Minerals
I have bad skin, and I feel if you have bad skin, the coverage is not enough. If, however, you have normal skin, then sure, you will look good.
I do, however, use and LOVE their blushes and bronzers.

Thanks - no acne or scars but very ruddy skincolor....I usually use a tinted moisturizer if anything! The commerical on Sprout is pretty convincing at 8am....

Then you will probably look great! You can try some at Ulta and they return items I think even if you use them, so maybe that would be good. They have great starter kits. Some malls even have the BAre Minerals store, too!

Re: Bare Minerals
I use it daily - the foundation, pure radiance, and mineral veil, and I love it. I have pretty smooth, clear skin, and it gives me nice, light coverage.

Re: Bare Minerals
I've used it for years and have been happy with it, but lately... ehhhh. (I'm talking about the foundation, warmth, etc). I feel like the minerals settle into my lines. I don't have wrinkles (yet lol) but i feel like it settles into the lines under my eyes and by my mouth instead of covering them... almost like it accentuates them. I dont know- not sure if that makes sense, or if i'm just imagining it but i'm just not 100% in love with it the way i used to be- still happy overall with it though, by comparison.

I agree, I used to use it and thought it was great but over time I just didn't like the finish.
To the OP, if you do use it I would definitely put a moisturizer underneath and maybe even primer so it does not do that to you.
I agree with the pp who said to get the starter kit or you can go to sephora and just try it! I have been doing that a lot with makeup b/c it can be so much money and then your stuck with it ( I never return things )

Re: Bare Minerals
This is the only makeup that doesn't make my skin break out in pimples or a rash. I've been using Bare Minerals for about 2 years now, and my face has never been so clear.
Also, an added bonus is that, it's okay to not wash you face before you go to bed. This comes in handy after a good night of drinking

I would buy the Prime Time Primer. It makes your face velvety smooth, and it holds the foundation on longer. I've also found using Mineral Veil helps seal everything in too!

Re: Bare Minerals
If your skin gets the least bit oily stay away - looks great when I put it on but halfway through the day it looks like my mask is sliding off my skin lol - I don't use it anymore...

Re: Bare Minerals
Incidentally, it's also not good if your skin is on the dry side! So, basically, use it if you skin is very good and you don't really need foundation at all but still would ike to spend money on some!

Re: Bare Minerals
I use the pressed powder. I don't use it every day so I don't really notice if it is settling in my lines.
But I like the coverage it gives me.

Re: Bare Minerals
I wore it for years. Then a couple of years ago, it did not do it for me anymore so I switched to another brand and it was disaster.
I went back to it several months later but I feel the quality is not the same as it was originally years ago.
I still use it though because I can't wear liquid foundation.
ETA: I DO NOT use the mineral veil. It makes my skin itch.
