I've had both IO Triple Play and Fios. Let's just say, that Cablevision could not PAY me to keep their shiity service! Fios all the way!!

I'm completely biased b/c DH works for Cablevision so we get triple play for free  . However, I know of 3 people that had Fios and switched back because they said that every month their rate kept going up until it got to a point where they were paying nearly double from where they started out. Plus there are huge cancellation fees. Again, this is not personal experience - just word of mouth. Good luck with your choice!
Fios doesn't have cancellation charges anymore. It's cancel at any time.
We originally had fios, then the bill went up and cablevision was offering us a great deal so we switched. The difference in quality is tremendous. DH was soooo unhappy but we were saving about $40/month so he dealt with it. But then Fios came back at us with an offer that was I think $5 more than what we were paying for cablevision so we switched back. you get free on demand, their high def is a million times better, customer service is excellent and the multi room dvr rocks!
Our bill will go up in another few months but they said we can re-negoiate at that time. And even if we can't, I would stick with them. You get what you pay for.

i have cable. but since i live in brookhaven i can't have fios sooo we had to go with cable.
