Followup to coxsackie post: Can adults get it too?

DD was diagnosed with coxsackie yesterday. Can my husband and I get it from her?

Oh no! I saw your DH's post about the fever on FB. I can't believe she got it! I hope she is feeling better soon!

Yes you can.

Recently my DD had it, then my DS got it and then I got it.

We all had different symptoms too.

DD had the fever first, then she got the sores in her mouth.

DS only spiked a fever for a day then he was fine.

I had a fever on and off for about 3 days and had a horrible sore throat. Never got the blisters in my mouth though. It stinks!

yes, adults can..and when they do - its worse than when the kids do, I got it and it was horrid.Chat Icon

honestly, if my son gets it, I WANT it. I want to give him my immunities through my breast milk!! bring it on!

I mean, obviously I don't want ANYONE to have it, but in my personal situation I would prefer to have it with him.

I hope that you don't get it and I hope your dd's clears up quickly!!!!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon
